Please note these courses are not primarily about learning new tricks or sleight of hand techniques,but more about learning what it takes to be an effective walk-around close-up magician by building and improving on what you already know.They are aimed at magicians with some prior knowledge as a hobby,but with aspirations to do paid work.
 
Peter offers good practical advice on what to wear,choice of tricks,how to approach spectators,what to expect at your first gig,how to get a website like this one,marketing, and lots more.There is plenty to get through so this is a full one day course.No more than 4 students on each course.

Close-up magic tuition for Novices.
 
This course is for magic students with little or no knowledge wishing to learn some easy to do but effective magic tricks for their own pleasure,to build confidence and to use socially.Peter will advise on some of the simpler 'sleight of hand' moves needed,and give instruction on how best to do them.
 
Most of the instruction revolves around playing cards but not exclusively so.Peter's own range of magic tricks will also be demonstrated and you will have the opportunity to buy,at a reduced price.
 
This full one day course is an ideal way to fast-track building a repertoire without years of practice.No more than 4 students per course.
Follow-up mentoring on a 'one to one' basis available if required.
Course fee is £200.per student.

Balloon Twisting Tuition For Beginners.
 
If you have ever tried making balloon animals and wondered why the balloon kept bursting,this is the course for you.
 
If you are an entertainer looking to add balloon twisting skills to your repertoire but find the instructional books and videos hard to follow,then this is the course for you.
 
There is no substitute for hands on personal tuition and Peter Jest will reveal all the little hints and tips the professionals would rather you did not know,plus instruction on how to make some of the most popular models.
 
At the end of this full one day course you will know how to twist the latex for fun or profit.No more than 4 students at a time.
A bag of the correct balloons and a balloon pump are included.
Course fee is £200. per student.

All courses are based in Stevenage,Hertfordshire, and usually held  on a Sunday, subject to demand and Peter's performing commitments.Students must be over 18 yrs old.
Standard fee for each full one day course is £200.per student.
One to one follow-up mentoring is £75.per half day session.
Personal one to one tuition in your own home (local) sometimes possible for £200 plus travel costs.
