EFFECT. Two paper clips
(Bank Robbers) get handcuffed to a rubber band (Policeman) .Requires two paper clips(1 inch minimum),thin rubber band, and
a £5/£10.note.
Hold the note open between both hands,fold
one third to the right(fig.1)clip this fold together
with one of the paper clips(fig.2)and push it down
against the top edge.Place a suitably sized thin rubber band around the right hand end of the note(fig.3).Turn the note around end for end so you are looking at the other side but with
the clip still on top.Fold what is now the left hand end(with band attached)over to the right and clip this fold to the middle
fold,trapping the band between the two clips(fig,4).Now
if you firmly pull the ends of the note apart the paper clips will leap of the note and will hang on the rubber band(fig.5).Watch a video of this trick being explained by clicking

A piece of string is cut in two and magically restored in the
spectators hand.Requires some smooth parcel string,scissors and copydex glue.
Cut off a length of string(the
thicker the better)about 24 inches .Locate the centre and tease out two equal sections(A&B) about 4 inches apart,(see
fig 1.).Slowly roll each section between your fingers to create two false ends(see fig.2.).Make sure the twists are tight
where they connect(z).Apply a very small dab of copydex at ends X&Y.(see fig. 3.) and when dry join the ends together.When
ready to perform hold the string as in fig.4.so it looks like one piece.Ask the spectator to cut the string where it is glued
together.It now looks like you hold two separate pieces of string(your thumb and forefinger hide the join at Z).Place the
false ends(A&B) into a spectators open palm allowing the cut ends (X&Y) to hang either side.You let go as they close
their hand and mask the join.Ask two other spectators to pull on the cut ends(X&Y) in opposite directions(see fig. 5.).The hidden connection in the spectators palm will unwind
and weld! itself together.At this point they can all let go to be amazed to see the string completely restored.Watch
